Kinglake is made up of Baltic based Australian artist Abraham Kenny and Estonian Black Metal producer Are Kangus. The duo formed at Tallinn's abandoned Soviet era concert hall (Linnahall) where Abraham was living and making music, just around one of the tunnels Are happened to have a studio.

After finding that they held common musical ground they decided to try a project together. Kinglake - Mirring: is the outcome, 90's drum machine, two guitars and vocals. The EP also features vocals by Estonian artist Heili Lõhmus on the song 'Come To Me', which she also co wrote.

The name Kinglake is taken from the small town in the hills just outside of Melbourne where Abraham grew up. 'Mirring' means 'hole' or 'eye' in Woiwurrung, which was the language spoken by the local indigenous inhabitants.
