This album is the result of a collaboration between long-time friends Stefano Santabarbara (aka My Dear Killer, from now on Cricket on the Radio) and Matteo Uggeri (member of Starlight Assembly, Open to the Sea and Sparkle in Grey).

It’s mostly built on the weird melodies of MDK acoustic guitar and Uggeri’s samples and field recordings, along with noisy textures provided by MDK as well, on electric guitar, and other collaborators, such as Andrea Serrapiglio at the cello and Alessandro Sesana at the trumpet.

The result is a deep voyage into a never-gloomy-enough abyss of weird cinematic atmospheres.

Matteo Uggeri is an Italian visual designer and composer from Milan. He invests himself in sound poetry of everyday life, organized around a vast array of personal field recordings and melodic compositions meticulously arranged in a story-telling way. He's part of the duo Starlight Assembly along with Dominic Appleton and he plays in Sparkle in Grey and Open to the Sea.

Stefano Santabarbara is, for a living, a researcher of biophysical processes of Photosynthesis; Bright Leader at the Popular Republic of Photosynthesis. He is the main person behind the My Dear Killer sad-core/folk project and together with Marco Guizzi of Fog In The Shell, founded and still manage the tape/CD-R label Under My Bed Recordings. He has been also involved in different collaborations, either as My Dear Killer and more recently in a noise-acoustic duo Sad Cambodia. His works have been released by Boring Machines, Old Bicycle Records and EeeE.
Since 2023 he's active as Cricket on the Radio. And he quit singing.
